On Thursday, June 1st, the 2017 Weekend for Warriors held its kick off event at the Beech Tree in Arlington, NY. The evening allowed the honorees to gather together with friends and family before leaving for the weekend to participate in several outdoor excursions, including fly fishing and skeet shooting compliments of Ten Mile River Preserve and Orvis Sandanoma.
“Thank you to Aaron Foglietta, owner and head chef of the Beech Tree Bar and Grill in Arlington, for hosting the kick-off to our 2017 Weekend for Warriors. The Beech Tree provides the perfect send off for our veteran honorees each year and we are incredibly grateful. It is the generosity of Aaron and others like him in the community that allows our organization to provide an amazing experience for our veteran honorees as well as raise tens of thousands of dollars each year for local veterans in need.” – Dutchess County Comptroller Jim Coughlan
