Coughlan to serve as panelist for United Way’s Community Conversation Around Veterans’ Needs

The United Way of the Dutchess-Orange Region will hold a Community Conversation Around Veterans’ Needs on January 4, 2017 at Dutchess Community College. Dutchess County Legislator Marc Coviello, U.S. Army Veteran and founder and president of the Hudson Valley Hero Project will give the keynote address.

Jim Coughlan, Dutchess County Comptroller and founder of Weekend for Warriors, will be joining Coviello and others as a panelist for the discussion. Weekend for Warriors is an experience-based event that recognizes individual veterans’ service while promoting community awareness of veterans needs in Dutchess County and the Hudson Valley. Coughlan and Weekend for Warriors are partnering with the United Way of Dutchess and Orange to assist local non-profits that focus on assisting veterans through their transition to civilian life.
