Coughlan to Host Inaugural Weekend for Warriors Event

Dutchess County Comptroller Jim Coughlan will be hosting the inaugural Weekend for Warriors from Thursday, June 2, 2016 through Sunday, June 5, 2016. Weekend for Warriors is an experience-based event for four local veterans honorees. The honorees are; Sgt. Marc Coviello, U.S. Army, Sgt. Adam Roche, USMC, Senior Airman Matthew Kemlage, U.S. Air Force, and Senior Airman T.J. Spiak, U.S. Air Force.

Throughout the course of the weekend the honorees will participate in activities including fly-fishing at Orvis Sandanona and skeet shooting at Ten Mile River Preserve. They will also participate in the Ryan McElroy Children’s Cancer Foundation 9th Annual Sporting Clay Shoot at TMT Hunting Preserve. The weekend will end with a reception featuring keynote speaker Jim DeFelice, author of American Sniper. The reception is open to the public and will also include a tribute to our posthumous honoree John Flowers who served as a member of the U.S. Army’s 82nd Airborne Division during the Vietnam War.
